Photography has been a lifelong passion. As a Colorado native with a love of mountains and wild places, I've focused on nature, landscape, and wildlife. Another passion is cats, so naturally they often wind up in my viewfinder.

Twenty years ago the relentless population growth of Colorado chased me to Wyoming. The move was coincident with radical technological changes in photography. To prepare, I completed the Digital Intensive at Rocky Mountain School of Photography where I learned digital imaging, Photoshop, and photo retouching. One-on-one private instruction in photo-compositing completed my training. Soon thereafter, Canon released the first full-frame sensor professional DSLR, and I transitioned to digital. By then I had nearly 30 years of color transparencies to digitize.

I cut to half-time my career in petroleum land consulting to launch a feline-centric business incorporating photography, photo-compositing and graphic design to produce a line of greeting cards and veterinary stationery products. I now direct my skills and aptitudes in a variety of ways from photo books, graphic design, photo shoots, restoring old photos for genealogy projects, and more. I'm also dedicating time to some ambitious projects for the Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue in Sheridan, Wyoming.

I prefer to photograph pets in natural light, but I also use a mobile pet studio when the situation requires it. If your pets are a big part of your family, you likely appreciate having great photos of them. Snapshots are often good enough, but with high-quality images I can help you create anything from photo beach towels to coffee table books. If you need a pet photographer, or have an idea for a photo/design project, or have a stack of old family photos, slides, or negatives you need to digitize, send an email to
